Some Signs
A project that I developed years ago and that I am resuming to the need to return to colour, to the passage of time, to the contact with specifically feminine skin. I have filmed the nudes of various friends over fifty years old to highlight how the weather was still mild, without leaving any obvious signs. However it was difficult to find a willingness to be and then accept the results. (and yet they all had a beautiful body !)It is well known that for women physical ageing is a trauma, for cultural and gender reasons. Even though to this day the things are changing still the time that passes on our skin is a reason for a deep crisis.I have also photographed some naked men who did not manifest such a painful refusal to accept the signs of ageing. In particular, I filmed a friend’s nude about 20 years later and despite having commented and underlined the change in his body he considered it a fact of fact and not such a seriously critical situation.
