A Portrait to Say No More to Gender Violence

People living in the territory of Milan’s Municipality 2, told their views on love and relationships responding to an urgent need: to break the chain of violence. From November 23 to 25, 2024, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, FAS Association, with the support of Municipality 2, carried out an art project as an opportunity for active and participatory exchange between the women photographers of ADF-Associazione Donne Fotografe and the local community. Portrait stations were set up around the red benches in Trotter Park, Piccola Goccia Park and at the Liceo Artistico Caravaggio, involving about 140 people, including families, male and female students, couples, teachers and citizens.Today, this experience is being returned to the community through the exhibition of a selection of images in different places in the city, the printing of postcards and the dissemination of the project on social channels.

This is the first return of the participatory public art project against gender-based violence by Italian Women Photographers’ Association Gruppo FAS – C’รจ vita intorno ai binari realized thanks to the support of Milan City Hall 2 of the Municipality of Milan.
